This magnificent Amphora Vase is a complex model, with one main bouquet in the middle of each side and few more small bouquets spread all around, marvelous sculpted handles, heavily gilded, and a lovely cover lid, a masterpiece itself, with relief porcelain. It is marked and numbered on the back of the base with Herend shield stamp. The origin of the pattern is associated with Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of “ Fleurs des Indes” was first prepared in 1931.
