BERNARDAUD Porcelaines , Limoges ,France produced the Iconic dinner service " Les Metropoles " around 1990 & now i am selling this very rare, mint condition set comprising: 8 Presentation / Charger / Underplates 29cm diameter 8 Dinner Plates 26 cm diameter, each depicting a different Metropolitan city: Paris Rome Berlin New York London Hong Kong Moscow San Francisco 8 Dessert/ Hors d'oeuvre Plates 21cm diameter 1 Covered vegetable dish/ 1 Sauce boat/1 Bowl 20cm/ 1 Bowl 23cm The decoration is beautifully colourful and detailed featuring the cities most iconic buildings and landmarks. The Presentation plates are all identical, as are the 21cm plates, as a background to the stars of the show, the dinner plates! The accompanying Brochure details the thought and concept of this tiny production. This set is truly very rare, is dishwasher safe, however the pure gold of the decoration may not be used in the microwave oven This is from my private collection, never used, only admired!
