Domaine Trapet needs no introduction. It was one of the first Burgundy vineyards to adopt biodynamic viticulture, back in 1998. The estate's Grand Cru Chambertin has a very long ageing potential and is made from 3 parcels, the oldest of which was planted in 1919. Chambertin as a whole covers less than 2 hectares at Trapet's. Production is minimal, the vintage is sold out. The 2017 vintage is particularly successful, with volume and beautiful tannins that are present, ripe and fine. The aromas are complex, with morello cherry jam, hints of smoked meat, dried flowers and liquorice flavours on the palate. The wine is full-bodied and velvety for the vintage. The result is a well-balanced, harmonious and subtle wine. Drink between 2025 and 2040, kept in good storage conditions. Notes : - Parker : 93-95/100 - Bettane et Desseauve : 18.50/20 - RVF : 18/20 All my wines are bought directly from the estate and are stored, after delivery, in an ageing cellar at 12 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 68%. Solid and strong packaging with insurance. Shipment only to Europe and scandinavia : no shipments to Cyprus, Russia, England, the United States of America, Asia.
