High quality Chinese hand-painted over glaze enamel porcelain charger, dating to mid-20th. Century. This charger is painted with multicolor butterflies and insects like bugs and grasshopper in many poses. It has 6 recesses at the edge in the shape of bats. The painting is expertly done, with very fine line quality! Nice gilding at the rim and on the butterflies. The double foot ring is unglazed and cut. Marked with a 4 character seal mark. Very well hand-painted charger in the Famille-Verte palette, using enamels like green, white, yellow, orange and black, all in varying shades, and high-lighted with gilded detail! Nice deep cut foot rim. Date: Mid-20th Century, 1950-1960. Size: This charger measures 36,3cm across. Condition: Excellent! No damage. No chips, no hairlines.
