Abacus with 6 Chinese coins and 91 beats –China- 20th Century
On offer is a decorative Chinese abacus, made of hardwood. It has 91 hard-stone beats for counting. At the sides there are 6 Chinese coins with a silver appearance. From these 6 coins, 2 are magnetic. The other 4 are made of another metal, not being iron. This well-made abacus is a copy of an original, and is modern made. Despite that, it is a good quality made object which resembles China’s past. A beautiful display object! Provenance: acquired from inland China.
Date: 20th century- modern.
Size: length 41cm. width 14cm. thick 2,2cm.
Condition: excellent. Minor wear.
