Fine Chinese soapstone chop foo lions - China – end of 20th Century On offer is a good Chinese soapstone chop with 2 foo lions on top, and with an artist poem at one side. This is an exceptional chop because it takes a great amount of work to carve the 2 foo lions free, out of the stone. The appearance and color is very similar to Shoushan stone. Better than the average piece; very hard to find! Soft touch in the hand. Provenance: acquired from inland China. Date: End of 20th Century. Condition: In fine condition, no damage, light traces of use only. Size: measures about 6cm in height and about 3cm width. Weighing about 113 gram!
