Ernest Charles Walbourne (1872-1927) - Fishing for supper

Here we have a most charming late 19th Century oil on canvas by British artist Ernest Charles Walbourn 1872-1927. The artwork features a lone figure in a boat on a river. They look to be fishing for supper with a bridge in the distance. The painting is signed lower right. A delightful painting that would grace any wall in your home. Ernest Charles Walbourn (1872-1927) was a British landscape painter of rural and farming scenes. He was the second of five children and was educated locally. His father, who owned property in Tasmania/Australia, initially disapproved of his artistic ambitions, but later helped with the setting up of a studio at the family home and the funding of his art training. In 1895 he settled in Chingford, Essex and began exhibiting at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. From 1897 his paintings were exhibited at the Royal Academy and at the Royal Society of British Artists. His works were well received, many being sold through the London art dealers. In good condition and comes framed. Please view the photos as part of the description. Note the frame is a gift no compensation given if damaged in transit. Postage via UPS or DHL please check the tracking regularly and follow the instructions and pass on the information needed to avoid delicate situations (returns, delivery delays due to non payment of fees or tax ID numbers). PLEASE NOTE: Due to a NEW EU derivative my courier requires your National ID number before I can post it so that delivery is a smooth transaction. Without it your package will be held up by customs and store in a warehouse until the information is given. The painting will be packed with maximum protection so it arrives safely.
