Antique Kern & Söhne Figural Anniversary Clock with Glass Dome – 1960

Beautiful Kern und Söhne Germany Figural Anniversary Clock with an intricate embossed green dial and painted cartouche Roman numerals. Anniversary clocks were first produced in 1923 and are now highly collectible. They are are long-running torsion pendulum clocks and also known as 400-day clocks based on the idea that the owner chooses a meaningful date, such as the anniversary of the date you received it, as a reminder to wind it each year. The clock is in excellent condition and includes a rotating 4 ball pendulum with an embossed base with three male figures holding chains. (No damage or scratches) I tested the clock and let it run for a 5 days with no problems as far i know. The 4 ball pendulum rotates as well. I think you can wind it with a screwdriver (I didn't try but there is a little screw in the back and it sais +UP and – Down) Measurements are approx. 30 cm in height Approx. 20 cm in diameter No guarantees, item is sold as it is. Clock will be carefully packed and shipped to you with track and trace. Can also be picked up in Ouddorp, South Holland.
