Elegant icon with the famous four claws of Omega. The young Omega designer Carol Didisheim, who is only 26 years old, was inspired by the clips on a bathroom mirror. Little did she know at the time that four decades later her design would still be a big hit. This is the 1st version of the Manhatten, which was only produced from 1982-1984. Well-known ambassadors for the Constellation Manhattan were Pierce Brosnan, Robert Wagner, and Gorbachev also wore the all-gold version at the time. This series also has Roman numerals on the dial. The subsequent series had the Roman numerals on the bezel. The case diameter is 35 mm including claws and crown. The case height approx. 7 mm, so nice and flat, typical of the period. The strap lugs are solid 18 kt gold as well as the four claws and the OMEGA emblem on the folding clasp. The quartz movement is an OMEGA cal. 1431. The accompanying papers and the original box are included in good condition. First delivery took place in Seville. All in all, the almost 40 year old watch is in very good condition. The sapphire glass has no scratches. It was given a new battery in February of this year. You can see slight signs of use on the strap, but it does not affect the overall impression of the watch in any way. Can be worn up to a max. circumference of 190 mm.
