Octomore 2.2 Orpheus is peated at 140ppm like Octomore 2.1. Aged 5 years, it was aged in Bordeaux wine barrels from the famous Château Pétrus. Pétrus being the most famous (and one of the most expensive) of all Pomerols.
Limited edition of 15,000 bottles.
In 2002, the master distiller of Bruichladdich, Jim McEwan, wanted to create the most peated whiskey in the world with Octomore, to complete the range, composed of unpeated (Bruichalddich) and heavily peated (Port-Charlotte) whiskeys. Beyond its extraordinary phenolic concentration, Octomore is characterized by an innovative approach in the assembly and aging of these spirits.
