6 bottles (75cl) of Comte Lafond Sancerre Grande Cuvée Rouge by Baron de Ladoucette. The vintage is 2020. Sancerre is famous for its excellent white wines based on Sauvignon Blanc. Fortunately, the region also makes great red wines based on Pinot Noir. This Comte Lafond Grande Cuvée is a wonderful example of this. The majority of the grapes come from Bué where the grapes grow in a natural amphitheater to the south. The result is a stunning, extremely concentrated fruity character and is perfectly balanced with the fresh, earthy and mineral character of the wine. Do not drink this red wine too warm, serve the wine slightly chilled. Pairs perfectly with risotto, cheeses or dishes with mushrooms or truffles.
