While the famed "Professional" line of Speedmasters remains the most popular series of chronographs by OMEGA, not all Speedmasters are Moonwatches. The brand has produced a diverse range of variations, from heritage models to moon-phases, digital versions, and bejeweled styles. One notable deviation from the traditional path is the Schumacher line, launched in 1996 in collaboration with F1 driver Michael Schumacher. Based on the Speedmaster Reduced design, these watches feature a 39mm steel case, a compact dial layout, and an automatic movement, departing from the manual calibers typically used in the Speedmaster family. Reflecting the racing spirit of the original Speedmasters, these pieces offer collectors a unique slice of OMEGA history from the late '90s. The ref. 3510.80.00 model, part of the original '90s launch, featured a choice of red or yellow dials, paying homage to Schumacher's debut year with Ferrari. Production of this model lasted from 1996 to 1999, and each watch was presented in a tire-shaped case, with Schumacher's signature prominently displayed, although not directly on the Speedmaster itself.
