Extensive collection of 110 original 19th-century zoological engravings and lithographs, partly hand-coloured.
Depicting a wide variety of exotic animals – mammals, birds, reptiles and insects from Asia, Africa and South America.

These prints originate from mid-19th-century natural-history encyclopaedias, probably based on the works of Georges Cuvier and Edward Griffith.
Several sheets bear printed attributions such as “Guérin del.”, “Pallas” or “Griffith”.

Executed in copper and steel engraving as well as lithography, partly with delicate contemporary hand-colouring.
Sheet dimensions range from approx. 15.5 × 8.7 cm to 30 × 19 cm.

Overall in good, authentic condition with mild ageing, slight browning or marginal wear;
no tears or losses.
