Nine antique rice bowls with the ‘Timor’ decor made by Petrus Regout Maastricht around 1885.
Each bowl is decorated with Eastern inspired and Chinese motifs, in a dark blue transfer pattern and is highlighted with hand painted multicoloured touches.
These pieces of chinoiserie met the demand of the growing interest for China and the Far East at the end of the 19th century.
Each bowl is marked on the bottom with the logo that was used between 1880 and 1890.
