Finely carved Siberian Woolly Mammoth Ivory - 2 carved mammoths set on white mammoth ivory segment - Mammuthus primigenius
These are two professionally carved woolly mammoth figurines (Mammuthus primigenius). Both pieces are set on a roundish mammoth tusk segment which is ivory-white in colour. Both figurines were carved from solid blocks of mammoth ivory. Take note that the only separate element in the figurines are the tusks - they are inserted and glued to the main part once the body is fully carved. The colour of the ivory is the typical ivory-white.
Age: Over 10,000 years
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia)
German Certificate of Origin (Ursprungszeugnis) is included in the price. This certificate is issued by the German chamber for industry and commerce and officially lists this article and certifies that this is mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius).
