Beautifully detailed and stylised statue of Venus Victus to Canova signed by A. Giannetti. Made of a combination of resin / alabaster. The statue is in good condition with a beautiful age patina. Arnaldo Giannelli was a sculptor graduating from the Royal School of Art. In 1944 he opened a studio for producing art for the Allies. He was known for making the Dwight Eisenhower alabaster bust. As a result of his professional work, he was awarded the title of Cavaliere della Repubblica in 1970. Dimensions: Height 12 x Width 21 x Depth 6 cm. Weight: 850 g.
