The 20 prints in 2 suites and the three text booklets were published by J.H. Henkes Grafische Bedrijven N.V. in Haarlem to mark the opening of their new building on 6 January 1967. Central to the narratives is the Polish rabbi Israel ben Eliezer, also referred to as Ba'al Shem Tov (the man of the good name), who - from 1739 - was the leader of the Eastern European Hasidic movement, a movement of pious Jews who put a doctrine of hope, optimism and joy above the practical implementation of the rules in the Torah. - The pictures provide a good impression and are part of the description. - Shipping via DPD.
