Germania - Marina - Binocolo - 1939
From the period 1935/1945, a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena ship binoculars with the markings of the former
German Kriegs Marine.
The viewer has a magnification of 7 x 50, also the belt of viewer is there and in good condition.
The viewer is an early version, because the code of Carl Zeiss Jena, BLC isn’t on it, the codes on all military materials was only in the course of the war when the bombing of Germany became serious.
So because these binoculars still bear the full factory name, they originate from the period 1933/1940.
The viewer itself is a Carl Zeiss Jena Doppel Fehrnrohr (D.P.) with coated glass T = Transparent = coating.
with a magnification of 7 x 50. and is for marine artillery (Artl. on the left)
Because it is an early production the enclosure is still of aluminium.
The glasses are good, so is the prism, it has a keen sight. (see-photos-Tower Clock: 14t. M. 16.)
