Preistorico, Età del Bronzo Bronzo TOP garb needle conservato - 24 cm - (1)

Fantastically preserved bronze pin from the late Bronze Age. Little green rust and completely preserved. The pin was used to keep together the outerwear. It dates to the so-called Urnfield Culture, in the late Bronze Age of Central Europe (approx. 1300 - 800 BC) Provenance: Southern German private collection, taken over from a collection of my grandfather, acquired in the 1960s. Last offered in a German auction house. Proof of purchase will be sent with the pin. The youngest section of the Bronze Age is referred to as Late Bronze Age, what corresponds in Central Europe to the period of 1300 - 800 B C (→ bronze age (Central Europe)). Sometimes, also the terms "Young Bronze Age", "Final Bronze Age" or "Urnfield Period" can be found for this period but which are less common. The Late Bronze Age differs from the previous Middle Bronze Age through a change of the grave and burial traditions as well as changes in the settlement patterns and a change in the forms of treasury of weapons, tools, and pottery. In the beginning of the 8th century B C the Late Bronze Age was replaced by the early Iron Age, which distinguished itself particularly through the preferred use of iron as a material for tools and weapons. The seller guarantees that this object has been acquired legally. Documents related to the proof of origin presented at Catawiki. Important information: No export licence is required for transportation within the European Union. Due to the importance of this object, an export license must be requested as soon as it is sent outside of the European Union. This should be done on the heritage inspection of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. It can only be done after the sale and can take some time
