Rare, medieval double-edged blade, the fullers on both sides almost reaching the point. Short flat quillons, with conical tang and flattened mushroom pommel; large decorated cross guard. A spectacular example of Viking weaponry. Provenance: Property of a private collector from London; from father's family collection, formed in the 1970s – 1980s. Dimensions: 970 mm; 960 grams.
