Statue of pleurant from the mausoleum of Isabelle of Bourbon (1) - Plaster
Mary of Burgundy, daughter of Isabella of Bourbon and Charles the Bold, had 24 figurines of pleurants made for the tomb of her mother in Antwerp. Ten of these have been preserved.
This is a copy made of plaster. The figurine has been slightly retouched. The colour of head, neck and hands, give it the impression of a wooden figurine.
