Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Kienzle mechanical alarm clock. The clock has been cleaned, repaired and oiled and is running perfectly. The alarm works and goes on time. I'm not sure of the age but would guess it is from the 50's. The 'Made in Germany' on the dial suggests it's made before Germany split up into east and west but I'm not sure. The clock shows some wear expected for its age. See pictures. One of the winders is not original. It has a diameter of approx. 10 cm. Servicing a clock is vital for it to run properly. Clocks and watches which have been lying around for 20 years may run when wound but after a while it will stop running or will not run on time. Running a clock that is not properly lubricated damages the clockwork. Mechanical clocks and watches need a service every 5-10 years. All our clocks have been cleaned, repaired and oiled.
