A beautiful, large antique silver-plated toast rack. It has a rack on both sides for 3 pieces of toast, so suited for 6 pieces of toasts. It has a bottom plateau with a confiture and/or butter dish of opaline glass with a lid on it in the middle. At the top of the middle a table bell with an ivory button. The whole stands on 4 beautifully decorated feet. There is a butter knife, this one is not original but does fit (is not in the picture). Marked D&S = Deykin & Sons Dated ca. 1880. Size 25cm x 15.5 cm. Height 21.5 cm. Weight 894 grams. It is in excellent condition, in my opinion, hardly used. The silvering is beautifully shiny. The glass opaline dish is flawless. The bell's still doing very well. Only the bell button has a hair tear but is certainly still intact. Really a unique item and brilliant for the breakfast table! Will be thoroughly packaged.
