Not so common inclinometer or clithographe made by lefebvre.
Device use by architects and surveyors, specially designed for measuring inclines / corners.
Very good condition with only some signs of age.
The object consists of a metal (cast iron) frame with text ( Level de pente parlant ou Clitographe Lefebvre / Brevet d'invention de 15 ans _S.G.D.C. ) with a vertical copper bar that hinges at the top and the degrees can be read at the bottom. A level is fixed on the middle of the copper bar.
L'appareil est formé d'un cadre en acier dont les côtés, formant rectangle, sont parfaitement dressés. Une lame en laiton mobile autour de l'axe supérieur du cadre est munie d'un niveau à bulle placé à angle droit. La lame possède à son extrémité inférieure un curseur permettant de repérer sa position par rapport à un secteur gradué.
