A beautiful Boch Frères • Keramis vase from the early days of the Art Deco period (1922), with a polychrome décor consisting of abstracted floral motifs designed by Charles Catteau.
The vase is marked on the bottom with the shape number ('267'), a letter 'A', the indication of Boch Frères Keramis (symbol with 'BFK'), the set number ('D.695') as well as the name of the décor ('Tango'), which is rather exceptional.
Based on these characteristics, it can be attributed to the studio of Boch Frères Keramis under the direction of Charles Catteau during the interwar period. The set number allows it to date it around 1922, when the décor in question was designed (source: 'Art Deco Ceramics Made in Belgium - Charles Catteau' by Marc Pairon).
