A very rare work by Monique Martin, better known by her pseudonym Gabrielle Vincent.

¶ Monique Martin (1928-2000) was a great artist and illustrator. Under the pseudonym GABRIËLLE VINCENT, she made the BRAMMERT EN TISSIE series (in French: ERNEST ET CELESTINE). It made her world-famous. The books were made into an animated cartoon, which even had an Oscar nomination.
For many years, Monique has worked for publishing house “KUNST ADELT”, specialising in Christmas, birth-communion-bid and wedding press releases.
Monique did not like publicity. She always worked in anonymity. As a result, signed drawings with her own name do not exist. If she did sign something, she used a pseudonym.
This work originates from the archives of former publisher Kunst Adelt in Maastricht and is 100% made by Gabriëlle Vincent. Connoisseurs will recognise her style, which she also used for Brammert and Tissie (Erneste et Celestine).
The work will be carefully packaged and shipped registered.
