Typical Roman Gladius blade shape with strong Germanic influences on the tang, pommel and cross-guard.
Dates to: 100-300 AD
Total length: 475 millimetres x 50 millimetres
Material: Iron
Blade: parallel running blade, double-edged point with bilateral V fluting on the blade (see photos)
Tapered tang with pommel.
Condition: good stable substance, restored, no more disintegration possible.
