Soy un violinista profesional y propietario de un violín Lambert que compré en Madrid en 1965. Es un J.N. Lambert . Rue Michel le compte, Paris (1700) . Durante parte de mi etapa profesional trabajé en una orquesta en el Hotel Castillo Son Vida (Palma de Mallorca) desde 1970 hasta 1981. En mayo de 1971 John Lennon y Yoko Ono cuando siendo clientes del Hotel bajaron a cenar al restaurante , el Maitre no dejó pasar a John porque no llevaba corbata , éste, sin enfado alguno se fué a su habitación volviendo al restaurante con la corbata anudada sobre la cabeza !! Que podia hacer el Maitre ahora ! Aproveché la oportunidad para acercarme a su mesa con el violín y tocar Yesterday para ellos….sin darme cuenta entonces que Yesterday es una composición de Paul Mc Cartney. Pregunté a John si podía firmarme un autógrafo en el violín cosa que hicieron amablemente los dos usando un bolígrafo grabando los nombres en la madera. Muchos años después alguien me mando un link de la entrevista que hizo Play boy en septiembre 1980 en la cual John comentaba acerca del violinista español que le pidió autografiar su violín. John Lennon fue asesinado en Diciembre 1980 y la revista publicó la entrevista en enero 1981. Fue realmente interesante para mi que John me recordara 9 años más tarde. Con ocasión del 40 aniversario de su muerte , varios diarios locales oyeron la historia y publicaron sendas entrevistas en 08,12,2020 Diario de Mallorca y 19,10,2020 Ultima Hora . Otras firmas aparecen en el violín son: James Last ; famoso director de orquesta alemán. (firma año 79) Carlos Arias Navarro : último Jefe de Gobierno de España en la dictadura franquista. I asked John if he would autograph my violin and both himself and Yoko very kindly agreed. They used a ballpoint pen to cut into the wood. Many years later I was sent a link refering to an interview in the Playboy magazine in September 1980 in which John talked about the spanish violinist who asked for his autograph . John Lennon sadly died the following December, 08,12,1980 and the magazine published the interview in January 1981. I was really amazed that 9 years later he remembered meeting me.
