Beautiful Wajima Lacquerware - Vase inlaid with pretty butterflies made of mother of pearl. Artist: Inami Tadashi井波唯志(1923-2011) Born in Kanazawa City. Real name Tadashi. In 1942, he entered the Ministry of Education's Crafts Technical Training Institute attached to the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, where he studied lacquerware and ceramics under Yamazaki Kakutaro, Kato Hashimoe, and Tomimoto Kenkichi. After graduating, he studied under his father, Inami Kirokusai 2nd. Since his first selection at the first Nitten exhibition in 1946, he has exhibited his work continuously, winning special prizes twice, and won the Prime Minister's Award at the Japan Contemporary Crafts and Arts Exhibition in 1984. Received the Japan Art Academy Prize in 1994. Advisor to the Nitten Exhibition. With signed and sealed tomobako.
