A fantastic, large six-panel byôbu 屏風 (folding screen) featuring a painting on shiny golden silk depicting a flock of geese and ducks gathering at a waterfront filled with white asters 野菊 (nogiku).
Signed and sealed in the lower left corner Kason 華邨 (possibly Suzuki Kason)
This signature and seal was used by the well-known Nihonga artist Suzuki Kason, but this screen is not a work from his hand. It is a rather an homage to his name.
The folding screen is protected by a black lacquered wooden frame.
Period: Japan – Late Meiji period/Taishô period (First quarter 20th century).

Total width: 359.8 cm (2 x 61.7 and 4 x 59.1 cm); Height: 173.8 cm.
Considering its age, it is in a very good restored condition with minimal traces of wear conform age. Restoration lower left corner, and upper right frame corner. Please have a close look at the photos for a clear condition reference.
The folding screen is ideal for mounting flat on a wall and presenting as a single work of art.
