Greece, Cyprus, Middle to Early Late Bronze Age, ca. 1750 to 1550 BCE. A thin, light, and petite pottery handled vessel with a rounded base, thin walls and rim, and a parabolic handle. The body features incised vertical lines and dots on the exterior that lead to its lowest point, giving it a starbust motif when viewed from below. The fantastic surface on the bowl is probably the result of it having been lost in a shipwreck - an unfortunate fate for Cypriot vessels, which were traded throughout the eastern Mediterranean during this time.
