NO RESERVE PRICE, Vintage antique Victorian anno 1830 - Diamante - Oro 18 kt - Argento, Oro rosa - Ciondolo

Type of jewel: Vintage antique so-called "a la Jeannette" gold pendant with diamonds Condition: In reasonably good condition, especially given the age of the jewel. Obvious traces of old repairs at the back. Country of origin: Although there are not legible or recognizable hallmarks, we believe this to be of Belgian origin. Style: Vintage antique Victorian Era: ca. 1830 Material: 18K red gold and details in silver (touchstone tested) Technique: This jewel features both a filigree and a granulation decoration. Granulation is a technique where the goldsmith uses very small balls (granules) of metal, which are not soldered to the piece but welded. And filigree which is a delicate kind of jewel work made with twisted threads usually of gold and silver or stitching of the same curving motifs. Both techniques demand very high skills and precision from the maker. Extra information: This type of pendant is typically Belgian late 18th till mid-19th century. They are called 'à la Jeannette'. Diamond(s): Six senaille diamond cut and rose cut diamonds, tested and guaranteed natural diamonds. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. We do not have the weight of these diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to senailles or rose cuts. All diamonds in our vintage and antique jewellery are verified by the IJGC-lab to confirm whether they are natural or lab-grown. We do not offer any pieces with lab-grown diamonds. Thus, we assure that all diamonds in this jewel are 100% natural. Birth and month stones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April. Hallmarks: No trace. Dimensions: 7,70 cm (3,03 inch) x 4,95 cm (1,95 inch) - See picture with a ruler in cm and inches Weight: 12,20 gram (7,84 dwt) Adin reference Nº: 24037-0099 - Accompanied by a professional report of authenticity for your peace of mind. - Shipped insured and registered for your security, though you're most welcome to collect in person. - For shipments outside the EU, import duties and other charges may apply. We advise checking this in advance. - We invite you to browse through our customer feedback to discover the level of satisfaction we consistently provide. - See more of our products, visit: https://auction.catawiki.com/lotsfrom/Adin - It is common for antique & vintage jewellery to be thoughtfully refurbished, remodelled, or repaired to extend its life of wearability. Older items may well show signs of this loving attention.
