A charming topographical work on the archipelago St. Kilda, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. This work explores the history of the island and it's beauty in a vividly descriptive manner, with interesting notes on the lives, culture, and education of those living there.Illustrated with a frontispiece, and eleven plates.Collated, complete. Written by the Scottish philanthropist George Seton, Book in good condition for age. Externally wear on edges and corners, shelfwear, wear head of spine, sunned, light stains on boards. Inside faint ancient very small area of water damage on right margin, more visible on plates not affecting illustrations. Plates in very goos condition, in the second part of the book pages mostly unopened!!! See photos as part of description. Rarity.
