Being a student in geography at that time, I couldn't afford buying fancy wrapped gifts and I just grabbed a common HB pencil and a piece of printing paper (worst combination ever) and started to scribble a portrait of her. It was far far far far far from being perfect, but then I saw that glare in her eyes, her face lit up, a cheeky beautiful smile, it meant everything for her, and her reaction meant everything for me. I don't really have any art awards, or titles, and perhaps that would affect the value of my work, I am at peace with that, I have received the most precious awards an artist can get from people all over the world; their heart, their smiles, the joy, the happiness, the sadness, even few hugs from strangers.
