A painted ceramic wine jug with fish decoration from the ancient Burmese/Northern Siamese culture, Lanna Kingdom 16-18th century.
In good condition. It has been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, forming, painting . Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased in 1980/Mandalay by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market during his diplomatic mission in the region.
