This post-impressionistic painting with field flowers was ececuted b listed Austrian painter Ludwig Karl Strauch (1875 Vienna - 1959 Klosterneuburg). In the general art historiography known, that he was studied Egon Schiele and at the Viennese Fine Art Academy under Ch.Griepenkerl, R.C. Huber and A.Eisenmenger. In 18999 1900 he was sholar in Italy , then as volunteer in the Buren War in South Africa. From here travelled he via Madagascar to Zanzibar. After short stay in Bombey he returned to Vienna and exhibited since 1902 his studies. Since 1905 he was the drawing teacher in Klosterneuburg, one of his pupils was Egon Schiele. In his electoral home, Klosterneuburg, he is known as the real founder and longtime chairman of the "Association of Home Artists". He was also war painter in the World War First. In the exhibition in the City Museum of Klosterneuburg is illuminated the adventurous life of Ludwig Karl Strauch and is documented his influence on the art scene of the turn of 20th century.
