It has Kodak's private film profiles embedded in its firmware which guarantees the best conversions every time. Works really well with any other color negatives too. It can also scan Black and White with good results and Slide film with poor results. If it's a C41 base black and white film, it will also deliver very good results. Scanning the film is really quick and easy, taking around three and a half minutes to physically scan an entire roll. If you are unfamiliar with this scanner, it comes with a laptop, because it needs Windows XP to work with and often using virtual machines will cause issues with the scanner, so a dedicated machine is the best option.
