Title: Graduation Commemoration Akita College of Mines
Year: 1942 (皇紀2602,showa 42)
This is a very unique album.
This is a school graduation memory album. This is not a printed album, but each photo is pasted one by one.
The location is Akita prefecture in northern Japan. It is a place with cool summers and snowy winters. Akita Mining School is now the Faculty of Science and Technology of Akita University, which was founded in 1910 and has a history of more than 110 years.
The graduation year was 1942, and pictures from 1938 to 1942 can be seen. This album reflects the situation of Japan during the war. The big one is that it contains a photo of the most important person of the war, the Minister of War, "Hideki Tojo 東条英機", when he came to the school. There are also photos of military training, which is very surprising! Students studying academics are training to fight. This is an event beyond the imagination of those of us living today.
These are unique albums and very valuable historical materials.
This is valuable, but the book is thick and heavy, and the shipping cost from Japan to overseas is very high.
Please understand the situation.
