Their meeting gave birth to the desire to give life to a wine produced in IGT Toscana by associating the roundness of Merlot with the structure and elegance of Sangiovese from the lands of Brunello di Montalcino. Symbol of tradition and modernity, Luce embodies the excellence of the great Supertuscans, a type of wine that appeared in Tuscany in the 1970s. The climatic conditions of 2015 made it possible to create an exceptional year for Luce. After a classic winter, marked by sufficient rainfall to avoid water stress in the vineyard, the magnificent hot and dry summer allowed the vineyard to grow regularly, obtaining superb phenolic ripeness. At the tasting, Luce 2015 by Tenuta Luce della Vite presents an intense and very expressive aromatic bouquet, with notes of vanilla and spices, reminiscent of the sweetness of pain d'épices. The aeration allows notes of cinnamon and cloves to gradually appear, while notes of ripe fruit, plum and cherry envelop the nose with freshness. On the palate the attack is frank and the tannic structure elegant and melted, bringing a beautiful material. The fresh finish extends over a remarkably persistent length.
