This is a late 19th Century bed linen in fine linen. What is unusual is that the bed linen is 2m40 wide. Also the initials are facing the top of the bed instead of the bottom This was quite common in those days as the French would like to see the initials. The edges are hand crochet to resemble lace and has been well achieved. The lace continues at the sides by 75cm and is 10cm in width. The initials P.R. are hand embroidered and in very high relief.
