A fine Swedish bronze or brass candlestick and its bobèche, circa 1780-1820, measuring circa 26cm in height and weighing 1250g, decorated to the base and stem in Gustavian style with burnished gilding between matt gilt foliate ornamentation, the candle cup sculpted as a krater (Medici) vase. Condition: Very good, no damages. Base filled with lead, possibly resulting from an older repair (or just for weighting). Minor wear commensurate with age, This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail. Please note that lots paid after April 4th will be shipped after April 9th.
