Offering is a very beautiful full size old master violin, labeled: Joseph Ceruti filius Joannis Baptistae Cremonensis fecit anno 1857 GC. The violin presents a very rich golden-amber varnish. No cracks to the corpus. Interesting inlaid purfling in the middle of the back. Probably a small repaired crack to a-peg-hole. Ready to play with fine old eboby pegs, ebony tailpiece with pearl inlay, rosewood chin rest, A Fils stamped bridge and new strings. Length of two pieces back is 35,4 cm, whole length 58,2 cm. The width of the upper bouts: 16 cm; middle bouts: 10,8 cm; lower bouts: 20,2 cm, full size. The sound is powerful, warm, rich and sweet.
