April 1987: Studied under Jōji Yamashita. 1997: Received the Okayama Prefecture Governor's Prize at the Okayama Prefectural Art Exhibition. 2004: Certified as a full member of the Japan Crafts Association. 2007: Awarded the Okayama Prefectural Board of Education Chairman's Prize at the 50th Anniversary Exhibition of the Japan Traditional Crafts Chugoku Branch. 2011: Won the Japan Crafts Association Prize at the Traditional Crafts Ceramic Art Division Exhibition. 2013: Received the Japan Crafts Association Prize at the 56th Japan Traditional Crafts Chugoku Branch Exhibition. 2014: Awarded the Encouragement Prize at the 2nd Ceramic Beauty Exhibition.
