Byzantine Bronze Extremely Rare Encolpion-Reliquary Cross with an image of Virgin Mary Orans- Theotokos (Θεοτόκος). Rare type of cross on the reverse engraved with nice ornaments on each arms. With fantastic 'emerald' like green patina. Exceptional style displaying classical byzantine style of engraving saints. Virgin Mary with her rarer title- Θεοτόκος Mother of God instead of most common Μήτηρ τοῦ Θεοῦ.
The Loop is missing, otherwise in Excellent Grade.
Extremely Rare.
