Magnificent Macedon under the Romans AR Tetradrachm Circa 158-149 BC This silver tetradrachm features a diademed and draped bust of Artemis facing right, with a bow and quiver over her shoulder. The bust is encircled with a border adorned with stars within crescents. On the reverse, there is the Club of Hercules with its head to the right, situated between two lines of Greek inscription ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ ΠΡΩΤΗΣ. Above, there is a monogram of ΑΡ, all encircled by an oak wreath, with a thunderbolt to the left.
