A beautiful piece of jewelry found in the east of Ethiopia and worn by Oromo-women. This very large necklace was worn around the neck and the bone pen is then inserted into the necklace to close the piece. Made of old glass, so-called "Prosser "beads (from the 1920`s), "feather" beads and dotted beads from Venice in the 1920`s. the smaller beads come from the Czech region of Bohemia (1960-70`s). The finial is made of a decorted bone peg, used to close this necklace around the neck. Lenght of this necklace is 106 cm. Collected in Ethiopia in the 1990`s.
