A large and rare Kokeshi in good shape, created by Sato Suigai (1920-). This unique doll comes from a large collection, previously owned by a couple of elderly Japanese collectors who live in the Gifu area. Sadly they had to give up their hobby. Many more special Kokeshi gems from this collection will be sold in the near future. Estimated to be minimum 60 years old, this Kokeshi radiates a warm and matured feel. It would make a peaceful addition to any interior. Please take a good look at the pictures and notice the beautiful carving and the meditative face.
