Seated in the lotus position, halo behind his head, fine facial details, moustache, wavy hair, wearing a necklace, one hand on his knee and the other pointing to his head.
Bodhisattva is someone who has made a vow to achieve enlightenment or who has reached that ultimate goal, has renounced his own Buddahood for the sake of helping others.
Size: 19 cm H - 7 1/2 inches
Material: Schist
Culture: Gandhara, c. 2nd-3rd Century A.D.
Condition: Part of a larger relief, base repaired
