This is a vase inspired by the Ryukyu 琉球 pottery dragon motif. The dragon features raised, lifelike sculptures and holds a jewel. A dragon holding a jewel is considered to be a divine dragon.
The Dragon God is considered a symbol of success and prosperity, representing the image of a dragon ascending to the heavens. For those seeking improvement in career and financial luck, as well as overall success, the Dragon God is believed to bring more blessings than any other deity.
And having a golden sphere symbolizes the possession of wealth.
Ryukyu pottery vases are not very common and are relatively rare types of vases.
