Excellent refurbished Naka.
Very nice sounding and good looking and ready for daily use.
Nice new green and white LED illumination is a good combination with the brushed aluminum face plate. It’s pure eye candy.
A lot of prone troubles are solved:
Capstan and control belts are renewed.
All contacts and pots are cleaned.
Both pinch roller arms cleaned and lubed, so the heads rises smoothly again.
Speed calibrated.
Heads cleaned and demagnetized.
New led lights (original design was pretty dark)
Record and plays excellent. Spins fast also in both ways.
The 480 is a truly superior product, designed and built by Nakamichi to deliver the utmost in quality and performance.
